40th Chemnitz Seminar

40th Chemnitz Seminar

16 October 2024
We are pleased to announce the 40th Chemnitz Seminar, which will take place on December 3-4, 2024, under the theme “Sensor Systems for One Health.”Over the course of two days, representatives from both industry and academia will discuss how technological systems can support the One Health approach. One Health considers the interconnected health of humans, animals, and the environment, integrating insights from sectors such as human and veterinary medicine, environmental and agricultural sciences, and food technology.

In these fields, smart systems for pathogen detection, vital sign monitoring, and environmental condition tracking play a crucial role and are essential for the rapid diagnosis of critical conditions.

During the Chemnitz Seminar, innovative research and development in these sensor systems, including wearable devices, biosensors, and food monitoring systems, will be presented. One session will focus exclusively on the results of the GREENER project, which is dedicated to detecting extremely low concentrations of harmful substances (endocrine disruptors) in water using NIR absorption spectroscopy.

The seminar will also cover funding programs, research trends, and marketing strategies related to the One Health approach, offering a platform for discussions on potential collaborations and future project ideas.
