Biosensing: A Lecture by Prof. Lopez Cortajarena

On March 12, 2024, Professor Aitziber Lopez Cortajarena from the Centro de Investigación Cooperativa en Biomateriales (CIC biomaGUNE) in San Sebastian, Spain, delivered a compelling lecture titled “Engineering Advanced Hybrid Biomolecule-Nanomaterial for Biosensing.” The event, hosted by the MAIN Research Center, was a significant milestone in the realm of biosensing technologies. Notably, CICbiomaGUNE is a valued partner of the GREENER project, which aims to revolutionize water monitoring.

The lecture, held in a hybrid format, attracted over 50 attendees, including scholars, researchers, and industry experts. Prof. Lopez Cortajarena’s expertise in biomaterials and nanotechnology provided invaluable insights into the development of cutting-edge biosensors. Her presentation delved into the intricate engineering of hybrid biomolecule-nanomaterial systems, highlighting their potential applications in biosensing.
